Tatajuba wood is a durable and strong species, found in the Amazon region of Brazil and due to its durability, it lends itself to exterior applications. Fresh cut, the heartwood of Tatajuba is yellow, strongly darkening to dark brown. The 30-40 mm wide sapwood is pale yellow and fairly well to distinguish.
