3- Layer parquet is nowadays the most popular real wood parquet flooring and most of the specialized companies use the 3-layer technique to manufacture their products. The top layer is made of a solid timber species according to the customer’s preference (oak, iroko, walnut, maple, etc.) with a thickness of at least 2.5 mm. The top layer is finished with layers of protective materials (varnishes) or with UV oil. The layers below are made of softwood or high-density fiberboard. In most cases, these products come with patented click systems that enhance the stability among wood boards and minimize installation time and effort.
